THE ROCKET

Now I have an ideal situation but I understand some things are easier to implement than others and also that we've already dumped a lot of time and energy into it, so whichever of these scenarios is most practical for you I am fine with:

SCENARIO 1 - Best

When the robot wants to fire at you, he selects your tile as his "target" for the rocket.

The rocket launches, and moves at 1 tile per turn.

The rocket takes up a space - if it hits an enemy on its way it begins the EXPLOSION. If you walk into it, it also begins the EXPLOSION.

If the rocket reaches its destination, it also begins its EXPLOSION.

SCENARIO 2 - 2nd Best

When the robot wants to fire at you, he selects your tile as his "target" for the rocket.

The rocket launches, and moves at 1 tile per turn.

The rocket does not take up a space - instead we just let people and things pass through it, putting it on a higher z layer, and just say that you're "under" it.

If the rocket reaches its destination, it begins its EXPLOSION.

SCENARIO 3 - Still Good

When the robot wants to fire at you, he selects your tile as his "target" for the rocket.

The rocket launches, and moves at some steady amount of distance per turn, no matter how far away the target is. (I've never heard of a projectile that goes slower the closer the target is)

The rocket does not take up a space - instead we just let people and things pass through it, putting it on a higher z layer, and just say that you're "under" it.

If the rocket reaches its destination, it begins its EXPLOSION.

THE EXPLOSION

The EXPLOSION, by the way, is perfect as it is.
